Who I support

Every organization deserves an HR team that's on its side.

Small businesses

Owners and managers with 5 to 50 employees who are handling HR on top of everything else.

Churches & ministries

Pastors and administrators who need clear staff policies and job descriptions that fit a ministry setting.

Cities & towns

City managers and clerks who handle HR alongside a long list of other duties.

Nonprofits

Boards and directors who want fair, consistent HR practices their staff can trust.

Common situations

If any of these sound familiar, let's talk.

Most small organizations grow faster than their HR does. You don't need a full-time HR department to fix it.

  • Your handbook is out of date, or you don't have one
  • You're not sure who should be hourly or salaried
  • A manager needs help with a tough employee conversation
  • You need to let someone go and want to do it right
  • Annual reviews are coming and nobody knows where to start
  • You're hiring and the paperwork is piling up
  • You're paying someone on a 1099 and aren't sure that's right
  • Employees keep asking benefit questions you can't answer

About Mark

Hi, I'm Mark Scott

I've spent 13 years in HR leadership and more than 15 years in operations. As an HR Director, I built a company's HR department from the ground up across six locations and 170+ employees, including its first benefits package and standardized onboarding and training.

Hardworking people deserve clear answers about their jobs and benefits. Employers deserve protection from costly mistakes. Good HR does both.

I started MS HR Consulting Solutions to give small organizations in southern Oklahoma the same kind of HR support big companies have, without the big-company price tag. And no, I won't be hiding behind the break room door waiting to yell "Gotcha!"
